Advanced Painting & Drawing Tuesdays, 24S-PNT-A-0031
5/7/24-6/11/24 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM ( 6 sessions )
This studio course is for students with previous experience that are ready to progress towards the next level which is to consider an exhibition quality body of work. Unlike basic classes which rely on assignments furnished by the instructor, students in this class will be encouraged by the instructor to generate ideas and create individual projects of their own design. In a supportive environment complemented by demonstrations, individual and group critiques and relevant slide lectures, students will be motivated to focus on developing their own personal style and two dimensional voice. Students should bring their favorite materials and their ideas to the first class. Currently registered students will have the opportunity to use the studio and stay after their class each week for unmonitored non instructional time until 4:30pm.

This class is for those students with little to no instruction in painting but have a desire to explore that medium. Drawing materials will be supplied at first class when materials will be discussed and a material list will be available. Students may work in pastels, oil or acrylic paint (no watercolor please) and should expect to spend approximately $40 on those materials. Currently registered students will have the opportunity to use the studio and stay after their class each week for unmonitored non instructional time until 4:30pm.
