As always I continue to offer a variety of outstanding classes for students of all interests at the Arts Council of Princeton and forReadington Recreation .New students are welcome in all of the classes and I will pick up where I left off with my many returning students.Because adults often balance busy schedules , both Institutions allow students to make- up missed classes in other classes that I offer during the semester if space allows .If you have any questions as to which class is right for you please email me.

Drawing & Painting Int/Adv 19W-PNT-A-0030 FULL Tuesday
The curriculum of this class is devised to offer students with some previous instruction a structured, but open and supportive environment in which to create. Working from a variety of studio assignments, still life ,the local landscape ,a live model, or independent projects of their own design, each student will be encouraged to explore academic as well as more expressionistic and abstract options via group and individual critiques and illustrated lectures referencing the history of painting. Open to Pastel, Oil and Acrylic painters with some experience. Model fees included.

Drawing & Painting: Intermediate 19W-PNT-A-0262 Thursday
Students begin with instruction in the basic rules of drawing, which includes information on contour, value, and composition and then move on to the study and use of color via pastels, oil or acrylic paints. Working from a variety of subject matter, including sessions devoted to landscape painting, the Instructor will offer information on the proper use of materials, composition and color theory via group and individual critiques and personal instruction catered to their level of experience in a supportive environment. As the instructor will discuss the various materials needed during the first session, students should only bring black and white drawing materials to the first class.

Figure Drawing & Painting One Day Workshop 19W-PNT-A-0103 Tuesday
This is an opportunity for intermediate and advanced students to work from a life/nude model under the guidance of the instructor in a supportive environment .After a brief introductory lecture students will begin working in the medium of their choice inspired by the female life/nude model in one continuous pose (4-5 hrs) . The longer pose will allow students to develop the subtle details in their paintings and drawings while students may also move around the studio to create shorter varied poses, space permitting. Instruction in drawing ,composition and color theory will be offered via individual and group critiques. There will be a 30 minute lunch break and all model fees are included. Please bring your preferred drawing and painting supplies and canvas.
